ProForma Feature List
We are pleased to be adding a new app from the Atlassian Marketplace to our solution set. ProForma for Jira is a great tool for getting clear, completed data on JSM issues, optimizing the JSM portal and bringing new teams into Jira.
What is ProForma?
ProForma is the form builder for Jira. ProForma lets you create forms that embed in Jira issues. You can create forms that collect exactly the information you need, without custom fields or changing Jira configurations. Include multiple forms on the same issue/request to handle simple or complex processes. All the form data is stored securely in Jira.
How does it work?
Fully integrated within Jira, users can build fields into forms that are embedded in the issue (internal) or published to the customer portal (external). For business and software projects, users can add forms to existing issues, or create issues directly from forms thereby ensuring that all the needed information is included from the start. Features like field level validation, conditional logic and automation that integrates ProForma with workflows make using forms in Jira ideal for teams and their customers.
What sorts of forms are being built?
These are just some of the interesting forms that have been build with ProForma:
For IT teams
For Dev Teams
Bug report checklists
Cross Browser Testing
For HR Teams
New Employee Onboarding
For Finance Teams
Payment request forms
For Facilities Teams
Broken equipment reports/maintenance requests
For Marketing Teams
Content creation requests
What are the key benefits of using ProForma?
Faster Service – Service teams get the information they need by publishing ProForma forms, which have been created for a specific request type, to the JDM portal. Getting the right information up front allows agents to provide "one-touch" service.
Data Collection at the Project Level – ProForma puts Project Administrators in control of collecting data for their projects. Fields can be added to forms as needed, without requiring custom fields or changes to the Jira configuration. When processes change, Project Admins can modify the forms, or create new ones, without burdening the Jira Administrator.
Fewer Custom Fields – Using form fields instead of custom fields significantly reduces custom field bloat, improving Jira performance and simplifying admin.
Better Data – Collect complete, structured data on Jira issues/requests. Create issues directly from forms to ensure the right data is present from the moment issues are created. Include multiple forms on an issue to keep data organized for complex processes.
Improved Compliance – ProForma features such as field level validation, automation and workflow validators allow you to build business rules into your processes – great for highly regulated industries.
What are the key features of ProForma?
ProForma features include:
Multiple question types for collecting structured data
Ability to include instructions, hints and examples on any field
Information sections for including as much instruction as needed
Field level validation
Conditional logic to dynamically show or hide form sections
Linked Jira fields for searching, reporting or triggering automation
Form automation to automatically add forms to issues on transition, automatically transition issues when a form is submitted or prevent an issue from being transitioned if a form(s) is missing
Ability to connect to third-party APIs to populate choice lists with live data
Ability to include multiple forms on a single issue/request
Support for 24 languages
ProForma is particularly potent when used with Jira Service Management. With ProForma you can publish forms to the JSM portal to collect exactly what’s needed for a given request type, add multiple forms to a request, and allow customers to edit their requests even after they’ve been submitted. Mature users of JSM will find that ProForma makes it easy to extend JSD to non-tech teams, enabling Enterprise Service Management across the organization.
